Job summary

DBS is seeking a Head of Spatial Design to own end-to-end spatial experience across a diverse regional portfolio. You will set a north star, challenge proposals and ensure projects deliver a modern, human DBS experience.

Lead a Group team spanning design governance, branch programmes and behavioural design. Drive scalable standards for retail, wealth and workplace formats while aligning with brand and sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

• A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant spatial or interior design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating distinctive, executed and preferably award-recognised work will strengthen your application.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials and sustainable building practices.

Responsibilities

• Set the global design vision and translate brand ambition into distinctive standards across markets.
• Lead design reviews, governance and cross-market playbooks to ensure consistency and local adaptability.
• Direct senior designers, architects and agencies to deliver concept-to-implementation across branches and workplaces.
• Champion sustainability, accessibility and long-term adaptability in every solution.
