Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by establishing policies that cover HSBC’s regulatory requirements and mitigate conduct and reputational risks. It monitors how Global Businesses and Functions manage compliance responsibilities and helps resolve deficiencies.

We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Financial Crime Global Private Banking.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide oversight and management of all financial crime risks, including analyzing regulatory changes and coordinating compliance work streams, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Global Standards.
  • Ensure the business remains compliant with local AML/CFT regulations through collaboration with stakeholders and managing financial crime risks, raising challenges when necessary to maintain control effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with the GPB Business team (including Trust and Fiduciary Services), CLM team, Chief Control Office, and other relevant teams, to implement Group and Local FC policies and standards, providing advisory support and subject-matter expertise in financial crime compliance and client due diligence.
  • Maintain expertise on key regulatory requirements, including MAS626 Notices and Guidelines, Industry Best Practice Papers, and Information Papers, to interpret and advise on practical implementation. Conduct gap analyses on regulatory documents in collaboration with the Business.
  • This senior role involves working with senior stakeholders across the bank, including representation at governance forums, supporting GPB Singapore and Trust and Fiduciary Services Business.
