Job summary

Thome Offshore Management is seeking a Chief Engineer/Master for offshore vessels based in Singapore. The role requires leadership of a vessel team, ensuring optimized technical availability and adherence to HSEQ standards while managing OPEX and client relations.

Applicants should have a proven track record on DSV/MPSV or offshore construction vessels, with minimum 8 months as Chief Engineer/Master and at least 1 year as Superintendent in an ashore shipping role preferred.

• Ability to coordinate and communicate with stakeholders and ports.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote and implement the company`s HSEQ culture & philosophy.
• Contribute to achievement of company targets and governing objectives.
• Accountable for senior officer selection, performance management and crew wellbeing.
• Internal communication between stakeholders and functions.
• Follow-up of crew and crew changes in cooperation with assigned crew managers.
• Vessel complies with internal policies, statutory class and client requirements.
• Monitor and follow changes in legislation; implement requirements with Fleet Manager.
• Prepare and carry out ship-shore meetings with vessel; conduct vessel visits/inspections.
• Contingency tasks as defined in the contingency manual; environmental performance per targets.
• Participate in investigations when required.
• Vessel maintenance and planning; prepare for dry-docking; monitor PMS system.

QUALIFICATION&EXPERIENCE

• PreviousexperienceasChiefEngineer/Masterforaminimumof8monthsonrelevanttypeofships.
• MusthaveexperiencemanagingDSV/MPSV/Offshoreconstructionvessels
• AproventrackrecordasSuperintendentforaminimumof1yearinashorebasedShippingCompanywillhaveanadvantage.
• Candidatewhoaredeemedtechnicallycompetentandwithoutshoreexperiencewillbeconsidered.
