Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technologies Experience Design team is seeking a Senior Experience Designer to help transform the Autodesk platform experience, delivering seamless value to customers. With a diverse customer base, the role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to change not just an application but the company's entire customer interaction model. The focus will be on creating scalable customer experiences across over 100 products serving multiple industries.

Reporting to a Manager of Experience Design, the Senior Experience Designer will work on strategic initiatives, primarily focusing on our Access experiences. Candidates must include a resume and portfolio (with password if applicable) when applying.

Job Description

Position Overview

As part of Autodesk's Experience Design team, you will help transform the platform experience to deliver continuous value. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers to develop solutions, visualize and prototype designs, and participate in customer research to refine user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement engaging user experiences.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and visual designs at various fidelity levels.
• Work iteratively within Agile Scrum teams to deliver value.
• Utilize customer insights from analytics and interactions to inform design decisions.
• Conduct and participate in customer interviews and usability testing for iterative improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional user experience design experience.
• Proven ability to collaborate with development teams and product managers.
• Experience in visualizing solutions through wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes.
• Strong communication skills to present design ideas effectively.
• Experience with design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in HCI, Design, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams.
• Expertise in human-centered design, facilitation, and design thinking.
• Mentoring experience in UX design.
