Job summary

Squarepoint Services Singapore PTE. LTD. seeks an Ultra Low Latency Platform Engineer to deliver solutions across its COLO estate of 400+ servers globally.

You will manage Linux-based systems, automate workflows, ensure security, and handle capacity planning while collaborating with SRE, Network, and Development teams. Responsibilities include incident response, root cause analysis, and building self-healing systems to reduce toil.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) in large/complex environments.
• Server management with HP, SuperMicro, Dell hardware.
• Experience with low-latency network interfaces and kernel bypass (Solarflare onload, Mellanox VMA).
• Experience with Chef or Ansible for build/configuration management.
• Observability proficiency with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Proficient in scripting: Python, Ruby, Bash.
• Strong network stack knowledge: TCP/UDP, NTP, PTP, Wireshark.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Organized, proactive, ownership mindset.
• Understanding of trading venues e.g. Nasdaq, LSE, Euronext.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux-based infrastructure at scale with automation and monitoring.
• Enforce CI/CD and configuration management standards.
• Operate distributed compute and multi-petabyte storage systems.
• Install and maintain Linux (RHEL-based) systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the stack.
• Develop self-healing systems and automated recovery workflows.
• Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations.
• Perform root cause analyses of incidents and outages.
• Reduce operational toil with automated workflows.
• Collaborate with business units to re-prioritize work and meet objectives.
