Job summary

AMBITION GROUP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Linux Platform Operations Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-performance infrastructure supporting global trading environments.

You will work with SRE and engineering teams to ensure stability, scalability, and automation across bare-metal servers and storage. The role emphasizes kernel tuning, low-latency optimization, and automation via Python/Shell scripts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Linux infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, networking, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Salt or Puppet configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
• Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP) and container platforms (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Familiarity with monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS, RAID, NVMe).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Linux server and storage infrastructure (primarily bare-metal)
• Implement configuration management (Salt/Puppet) and manage system updates
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Optimize system performance, kernel tuning, and low-latency environments
• Develop automation scripts (Python/Shell) to improve efficiency
• Monitor systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and maintain observability dashboards
• Support infrastructure projects and collaborate with global teams
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend maintenance activities
