Job summary

OKUMURA CORPORATION Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced tunnelling project engineer to oversee planning, budgeting and supervision of bored tunnelling activities. You will coordinate with clients, consultants and authorities to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with safety standards.

The role involves site investigations, design development and supervising tunnelling operations on MRT-related works in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural, civil, geotechnical or construction related engineering.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience with minimum 3 years in LTA/tunnelling/MRT projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in ERSS, bored piling, groutings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• LTA CR210 project located alongside AYE.
• 6 days work week; 12 hours rotating shifts may be required during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage project planning, budgeting and resources identification, deployment and control.
• Manage and monitor project’s progress to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain strict adherence to budget guidelines.
• Ensure compliance to quality and safety standards for all site activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, relevant authorities and subcontractors / suppliers.
• Conduct site investigations, geological analysis, design development, and supervision of tunnelling activities.
• Provide engineering supervision to bored tunnelling operation, including final ring selection and selection of key.
