Job summary

GAMUDA BERHAD SINGAPORE BRANCH is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee tunneling projects. The role includes planning and implementing construction schedules, liaising with consultants, guiding the team, and ensuring quality and safety on site. Candidates must have a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in tunneling works. We are looking for a proactive and driven individual, capable of problem-solving in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in the relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing tunneling works of similar scale, complexity and nature of work.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the construction activities and progress.
• Planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programme.
• Liaise with consultants for technical issues and coordinate site activities with subcontractors.
• Provide guidance to Tunnel Engineers & supervisors in relation to construction works.
• Ensure progress according to schedule, quality standards are maintained.
• Carry out site inspections and resolve technical issues on time.
• Prepare reports and method statements whenever necessary.
• Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely to keep the site safer and neat.
• Shall be required to work in Night Shift during Tunnelling.
