Job summary

A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR IDL) seeks Research Officers to join our translational infectious disease program in Singapore. You will participate in virological assays, work with mouse infection models, and contribute to vaccine/drug testing and data analysis for collaborations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or related fields, 2+ years of lab experience in molecular biology and cell culture, and proficiency with flow cytometry and BSL-2 pathogens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life sciences field.
• 2+ years of solid experimental experience in molecular biology and cell culture.
• Experience with BSL-2 pathogens, flow cytometry, and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced lab.
• Strong written and spoken communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform virological assays in cell culture for diverse pathogens.
• Work with and develop mouse infection models.
• Conduct lab experiments in vaccine/drug testing for collaborations.
• Maintain meticulous records and draft reports for partners.
• Oversee daily lab activities and assist new members.
