Position: Senior Training Officer
Responsibilities
Programme Management & Development
  • Ensure the Centre programme adheres to all requirements pertaining to trainees' assessment/evaluation, individualized training plans, and motivational and behavioral management for trainees.
  • Seek best practice approaches in training, intervention, and management methodologies; innovate in programme delivery.
  • Engage caregivers in programmes and provide feedback avenues through sessions like CSI and CLR.
  • Manage trainees' needs with consistency, timeliness, age-appropriateness, and a person-centric approach, embracing human life-cycle considerations.
  • Support case conferences and reviews, collaborating with Training Officers (TOs), Allied Health Professionals (AHP), and Caregivers.
  • Explore and share new training methodologies and introduce innovative techniques.
  • Document and report on trainees' health, safety, and security matters.
Staff Management & Development
  • Plan and allocate manpower efficiently, covering duties as needed.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor TOs.
  • Orient and guide new staff in their roles.
  • Build strong teams and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor programme implementation and staff performance; conduct annual reviews.
Event, Activities, and Volunteer Management
  • Oversee planning of events for trainees' development and social integration.
  • Engage community resources to promote independence and awareness.
  • Coordinate volunteer engagement activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
Business Unit Operations
  • Manage and monitor Social Enterprise Units and work assignments for trainees.
  • Collaborate on developing new products/services and explore new work opportunities.
  • Redesign work processes with Occupational Therapists for efficiency.
  • Assign staff and trainees to new work tasks.
Administrative & Operations
  • Maintain documentation and reports for accountability and compliance.
  • Prepare programme outcome reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Assist with procurement related to trainee programmes.
  • Ensure safety and suitability of facilities for trainees, reporting concerns accordingly.
Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or related fields.
