Position: Senior Training Officer
Responsibilities
Programme Management & Development
  • Ensure the Centre programme adheres to all requirements pertaining to trainees' assessment/evaluation, individualized training plans, and motivational and behavioral management for trainees.
  • Seek best practice approaches in training, intervention, and management methodology to innovate programme delivery.
  • Engage caregivers in programmes and provide feedback avenues through sessions like CSI and CLR.
  • Manage trainees' needs in a consistent, timely, age-appropriate, person-centric manner, embracing human life-cycle approaches.
  • Support case conferences and reviews with a team approach involving TOs, AHPs, and Caregivers.
  • Explore and share new training methodologies and introduce innovative techniques.
  • Document and report on trainees' health, safety, and security matters.
Staff Management & Development
  • Plan and allocate manpower efficiently, covering duties as needed.
  • Supervise, support, and mentor TOs.
  • Orient, facilitate, guide, and mentor new staff in their roles.
  • Build effective teams and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor and ensure programme implementation and adherence to guidelines.
  • Conduct team meetings and share best practices.
  • Identify and facilitate relevant training for staff development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback.
Event, Activities, and Volunteer Management
  • Plan and oversee internal and external events for trainee development and social integration.
  • Engage community resources to promote independence and inclusion.
  • Coordinate volunteer activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
Business Unit Operations
  • Manage Social Enterprise Units and contract work engagements for trainees.
  • Collaborate with the Social Enterprise Team to develop new products and services.
  • Redesign work processes with Occupational Therapists to improve efficiency.
  • Assign staff and trainees to new work projects.
Administrative & Operations
  • Maintain training, case management, and operational documentation for accountability.
  • Prepare reports on programme outcomes and incidents.
  • Assist with procurement for trainees' programmes and activities.
  • Ensure facilities are safe and report concerns to management.
Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or related fields.

Other Information
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience managing a team of 8-10 staff is advantageous.
