Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Line Manager in overall pricing and commercial activities of the assigned trade to drive profitability through balancing optimized loadings with maximal revenue. He/she will be commercially astute and be able to identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads where possible.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage pricing and contribution analysis for assigned China/Europe trade
  • Set the commercial strategy of China/Europe trade in line with HO management
  • Monitor and analyse agents’ performances against allocations so as to ensure optimal loadings
  • Be the entry point for selected key accounts, including customer visits, rate negotiation, service promotion, follow up support
  • Prepare reports, market studies, competitor analysis and perform other tasks as required by Management
  • Occasional travel required to the designated countries.
  • Any other ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Degree in Tertiary education or above, preferably in shipping, logistics management or business administration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing a team in a commercial setting within shipping, logistics and any other relevant industries
  • Solid working experience preferably in pricing management or all related activities in regional / principal level in shipping industry
