Senior Trade Compliance Analyst – Global Markets (Medical Technology Sector)

A global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced medical technologies that enhance patient care and improve lives is seeking a Senior Trade Compliance Analyst for the global markets.

As the committed Compliance professional dealing with quality, regulatory excellence, and responsible business practices, you must ensure that every product meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Trade Compliance Analystto support and strengthen our clients international trade compliance program across key regions, particularly in JAPAC.

In this role, you will provide operational and strategic support in navigating complex global trade regulations — helping to ensure that life-changing medical technologies reach patients around the world efficiently and compliantly.

Reporting to the director, you will collaborate with global business units, supply chain teams, and regulatory stakeholders to uphold compliance with export control laws, customs regulations, and other trade-related requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and operational support on trade compliance issues, including export controls, sanctions, customs procedures, and product classification.

  • Manage ECCN and HTS classifications, export licensing, and Country of Origin determinations.

  • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing global trade compliance policies and procedures.

  • Monitor regulatory changes in the JAPAC region and assess business impact; recommend corrective or preventive actions as needed.

  • Support internal audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of the trade compliance program.

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal, Logistics, and Quality teams to embed compliance into business processes and projects.

  • Deliver tailored compliance training and awareness sessions to internal stakeholders across functions and geographies.

  • Contribute to cross-border initiatives such as Free Trade Agreement (FTA) assessments and supply chain risk mapping, including forced labor prevention.

  • Leverage SAP GTS and other Global Trade Management (GTM) tools to automate and monitor compliance workflows.

  • Maintain accurate and auditable records in accordance with applicable trade regulations and internal policies.

  • Serve as a liaison with government agencies and customs authorities across APAC, supporting inquiries, audits, and trade-related engagements.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Law, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade compliance, ideally in the medical technology, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of Import/Export, HTS/ECCN classification, licensing, and APAC trade laws.

  • Experience with SAP GTS or similar GTM platforms; familiarity with Oracle Cloud is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
