Job summary

V.GROUP GLOBAL (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Third Officer to oversee routine checks and maintenance of lifesaving and firefighting systems, and to act as an Officer of the Watch for navigation and cargo operations.

The role involves ensuring SOLAS compliance, preparing documentation for port calls, and supporting duties aboard Singapore-flagged vessels and international voyages. The candidate will maintain lifesaving and firefighting gear, monitor cargo and ballast operations, and assist

Qualifications

• OCNW certificate recognised by Singapore flag.
• ECDIS proficiency required.
• STCW safety training: basic and advanced.
• STCW modules in Oil Tanker Cargo Ops.
• Security duties under STCW.
• Survival Craft and Rescue Boat training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lifesaving equipment to SOLAS readiness.
• Maintain firefighting appliances to SOLAS readiness.
• Report deficiencies to Chief Officer.
• Keep Lights, Shapes, Flags, Halyards and signaling gear.
• Maintain safe navigational watch as instructed.
• Mooring party duties under supervision.
• Cargo watch duties as directed.
• Assist Second Officer when possible.
• Undertake tasks as instructed by Master.
