Job summary

SSMC, a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, seeks a Senior Engineer/Engineer to join the Thin Film team in Singapore. You will establish systems and guidance to develop, sustain and improve process capability indices to exceed operations goals and drive value across manufacturing.

The role covers process engineering, line sustaining, root-cause analysis and cross-functional improvement projects, with emphasis on equipment and process optimization in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Master/Decgree in Chemical/ Materials/ Chemistry/ Physics or Electrical, Electronics Engineering and other relevant fields
• A strong background and experience in semiconductor manufacturing process engineering
• Good knowledge of SPC, basic QC tools, 8D or DOE
• Basic knowledge in tools sets from Applied Materials Producer, Centura, DxZ and HDP, Centura WxZ, Endura and Tel Scrubbers, Novellus Altus & Novellus Sequel preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Thin Film Process engineering activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
• Sustaining line operations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Round the clock standby for impromptu tool issues and specific decision making
• Production and metrology tool ownership and accountability for cost, uptime, wafers scrap, process sustaining issues
• Participate in creation and continuous review of Operating Instructions, SOPs and BKMs to optimize process and equipment procedures
• Design, execute and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects in yield, quality, cost, productivity and uptime
• Participate/contribute to process and product transfers across global networked wafer fabs
• New process startup, optimization, development and improvement
• Transform Platform and develop Lean Six Sigma, BKMs and drive value creation
• Participate in implementation of BKMs and establish SSMC BKMs
• Participate in automation solutions to improve process quality and cost
• Provide training and support for certification of Engineers and Production Technicians
