Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore is seeking a Senior/Executive Engineer in System Assurance and Architecture (Test) to lead end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system. You will plan, execute, and automate tests across UI and back-office components while ensuring traceability to requirements and efficient defect resolution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in testing and automation, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team.
• Certification in software testing is preferred.
• Experience in Micro-payments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the test environment, designing and developing the test cases.
• Prepare the test environment, executing the test procedures.
• Automate the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages and performance tuning.
• Create traceability to requirements, analyze gaps and address them.
• Logging and tracking defects to closure.
• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, address test gaps to ensure test efficiency.
• Develop design documents and user manuals describing the test automation solution for end users.
