Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to support a major chemical plant project in Singapore. The role involves engineering, design, and QA/QC activities across the project lifecycle within a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions while coordinating with engineering teams, suppliers, and clients. The position is based in Singapore with a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Substantial experience in QA/QC engineering and site activities within chemical, petrochemical, refining, LNG, or process industries.
• NDT Level 2 certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor QA/QC documents per project standards and client requirements.
• Prepare project specifications related to welding, materials, heat treatment, testing, PMI, painting, and insulation.
• Engage in technical discussions with Lead engineers during material requisitions and bid evaluations.
• Identify and manage technical risks and provide cost‑effective engineering solutions.
• Support site QA/QC activities, construction queries, and commissioning requirements.
