Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Integration and Technology Development, Characterization & Electrical Test department.

You will help set up WAT programs, perform device measurements, and interpret characterization data to support production and reliability goals. The role requires a strong foundation in CMOS/Bipolar device physics, plus hands-on experience with WAT/test benches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in semiconductor/electronics/electrical/Physics/Material engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• One year or more experience in WAT or Characterization.
• Good interpersonal skills in working with different cultures and multi continental teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform device measurements and interpret data in WAT and bench tools.
• Set-up and optimize WAT tester and prober recipe for production.
• Conduct WAT operations and manage WAT probe card mechanisms.
• Develop and run reliability measurements and analyze results.
• Collaborate with process integration engineers on characterization findings.
• Apply automotive test requirements and ensure test quality.
• Support NTOs (new tape-out) with test programs and capacity planning.
• Maintain documentation and ensure data integrity for characterization.
• Work with cross-functional teams across diverse cultures and continents.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines in all tests.

What you will be working on:

• Have a strong foundation of CMOS and Bipolar device knowledge to perform device measurements

• Advanced knowledge of statistics or six sigma

• To set-up WAT (Wafer acceptance Test) program for NTO’s (New Tape-out)

• To set-up and optimize WAT tester and prober recipe for production

• Perform device characterization measurements both on WAT testers and Bench tools

• Interpret device characterization measurement data and work with process integration engineers

• Help set-up reliability measurements and interpret the data

• Strong knowledge of Automotive test requirements

• WAT test operations

• WAT probe card mechanism and PM know-how

• Knowledge of WAT WPH (Wafers per hour) calculations and capacity needs

• Knowledge of TCAD will be advantageous
