Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer for a 12-month contract in Singapore. You will deliver premier support to enterprise customers, performing deep technical analysis and guidance across Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical support or customer facing experience in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting across Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android OS.
• Strong working experience with Microsoft technologies: AD, GPO, Exchange, SCCM, MS SQL Server, IIS.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security software (antivirus, DLP, IPS, NAC).
• Experience with EDR, SOAR, SIEM, IPsec, SSL-VPN, NAT.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP and VDI (VMware, Citrix).
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for automation and analysis.
• Ability to debug broad, complex environments with mixed apps and networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting to enterprise customers and partners.
• Manage end-to-end cases: record, track, prioritize, resolve and follow up.
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics and root cause analysis of complex issues.
• Author and publish Technical Support Bulletins and troubleshooting docs.
• Review technical documentation for training materials.
• Provide on-call support during weekends and holidays as needed.

Your Impact

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer to provide premier, high-end support for our enterprise customers. In this role, you will deliver expedited response times and serve as a trusted technical advisor within a dedicated team of experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Support & Technical Services: Provide advanced technical support, guidance, and troubleshooting to enterprise customers and partners. Perform root cause analysis, and recommend operational best practices.
• Case Management: End-to-end management of support cases to ensure issues are accurately recorded, tracked, prioritized, resolved, and followed up on in a timely manner.
• Diagnostics & Fault Isolation: Perform deep-dive fault isolation, log analysis, and root cause analysis for complex, multi-layered technical issues.
• Knowledge Sharing & Documentation: Author and publish Technical Support Bulletins, articles, and troubleshooting documentation in the internal and external Knowledge Base.
• Technical Content Review: Review technical documentation for training materials, manuals, and diagnostic guides.
• On-Call Availability: Provide on-call technical support during weekends and public holidays on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Proficiency

• Experience: 5+ years of technical support or customer facing experience in enterprise environments.
• OS & Application Debugging: Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, installing, and debugging applications across Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android OS platforms.
• Microsoft Ecosystem: Strong working experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), Exchange, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), MS SQL Server, and IIS.
• Endpoint & Network Security: Hands-on experience with endpoint security software (Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention [DLP], Intrusion Prevention Systems [IPS], and Network Access Control [NAC]).
• Security Technologies: Experience with advanced security infrastructure, including EDR, SOAR, SIEM, IPsec, SSL-VPN, NAT
• Cloud & Virtualization: Foundational knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments (VMware, Citrix).
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for task automation, log parsing, and technical analysis.
• Complex Environments: Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique technical environments featuring mixed applications and network protocols.

Language Skills

• English: Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
• Preferred Languages: Fluency or professional proficiency in Mandarin or Korean is highly preferred (a valuable asset, but not mandatory).

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
