Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing and managing the Group’s Singapore and overseas direct and indirect tax matters.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and accurate and timely submission of tax returns and payment of all Singapore and overseas direct and indirect taxes
  • Attend to tax queries and liaise with tax advisors where required to resolve tax issues
  • Develop and implement tax efficient strategies to optimise the Group’s tax position
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and mitigate tax risk for the group
  • Update on changes in tax laws and regulation and assess their impact to the Group
  • Work closely with business units to provide tax advice and support
  • Assist in tax projects including cross border transactions, mergers, acquisitions and restructuring etc
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and maintain relevant transfer pricing documentation
  • Mentor junior team members and conduct tax trainings to the team
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experiences in managerial position in commercial or Big 4 accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore and international tax laws including direct and indirect taxes
  • Experience with transfer pricing and cross border transactions
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skill
  • A Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) accreditation would be an added advantage
