Job summary

Illumina is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the regional tax team in Singapore. The role focuses on APAC tax compliance and requires close collaboration with tax teams in APAC and the US.

You will support the Senior Tax Manager and contribute to governance and efficient processes as Illumina expands into new markets. You will lead or participate in business expansion initiatives and system enhancements while maintaining strong liaison with authorities and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation.
• 5-8 years of accounting/taxation experience with direct and indirect tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all direct and indirect tax return filings and queries/audits with timely completion.
• Research tax legislation changes and advise internal stakeholders on implications.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations related to tax accounts and tax provisions for close and audits.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to design workflows and system enhancements for tax outcomes.
• Interact with tax authorities and consultants to maintain strong relationships.

Job Summary

Illumina is looking for Sr Tax Analyst to be part of regional tax team in Singapore. This role will be APAC tax compliance focused and is required to work close with tax team in APAC and US regions. You will support the Senior Tax Manager in fostering seamless collaboration with stakeholders and adherence of tax compliance governance and efficient tax process maintained in the region. In addition, as Illumina continues to grow globally into new and existing markets, you will lead or participate in business expansion initiatives, system enhancement and other strategic projects as assigned.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Manage all direct and indirect tax return filings and queries/audits, including performing a wide variety of hands‑on compliance work to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the tax returns and queries are filed within internal and external timeline
• Research and monitor tax legislation changes and provide an update on the implications to the Group and provide tax advice to internal stakeholder
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation relating to tax accounts, and tax provision/deferred tax calculation necessary for financial close and statutory audit activities
• Participate and lead cross-functional projects as requested, including evaluating the tax impact and/or designing the end‑to‑end work processes, workflow and/or system enhancement to drive the desired tax outcome for reporting
• Interact and maintain good liaison relationship with tax authorities and consultant

Preferred Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Taxation.

Preferred Experiential Background

• Minimum 5-8 year experience in the areas of accounting/taxation with experience in direct and indirect tax compliance. Prior experience with incentives and grants is highly preferred;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Excel;
• Prior experience in SAP (or equivalent ERP system) is preferred;
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, highly detailed oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision and independently;
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and a multi‑tasker;
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem‑solving environment;
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
