We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineerto join our dynamic team. This role emphasizes project implementation while supporting systems-related tasks. As part of the team, you’ll be actively involved in project implementations, migrations, and maintenance of IT infrastructure as well as Cloud solutions across multiple industries. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong foundation in server and network infrastructure and Cloud solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidates must be specialized in at least one of the 3 main focus areas below:

Server/Storage Hardware Focus:

1. Main job scope - project implementations, hardware breakfix, maintenance support on various products of focus such as:

   • HPE/Lenovo/Dell server/storage hardware installation

   • Server OS installation - MS Windows Server/Hyper-V, Redhat Enteprise Linux Server, VMware/ESX server

   • Storage - 3PAR/NetApp/EMC/Alletra/MSA/Lenovo ThinkSystem DE installation

   • HCI - SimpliVity/Nutanix/Vxrail/Huawei FusionCube

   • Server and storage infrastructure and administration support

2. Perform 24x7 software maintenance support standby on rotation basis

Systems: MS Windows Server AD-Exchange/MS Cloud Solutions and Virtualization Focus:

1. Main job scope - project implementations/migrations/maintenance support on various products of focus such as:

   • Microsoft servers, messaging, monitoring/management software - MS Windows Server clustering, AD, MS Exchange Server, SCCM, WSUS

   • Microsoft M365 solutions – MS Entra ID, MS Office 365, SharePoint, Intune,ATP, AIP, Autopilot, Sentinel, W365 Cloud PC

   • Microsoft Azure - Azure Log Analytics,Azure Key Vault, Azure File Share, Azure ARC, MS Defender for Cloud

   • Backup software - CA Arcserve, Veritas Backup Exec, Netbackup, Acronis, ShadowProtect, Veeam, Azure Backup

   • Virtualization/Cloud - VMware, HyperV, VMware Horizon, MS VDI, Nutanix, Redhat OpenShift, Huawei Fusion Cube/AWS/Azure

   • DLP/Antivirus software – Symantec Endpoint Security, McAfee ePO/Trellix, Sophos Central, Trend Micro Deep Security

2. Perform 24x7 software maintenance support standby on rotation basis

Network and Security Focus with 10% Systems Focus:

1. Main job scope - project implementations/migrations/maintenance support on various products of focus such as:

   • Wireless network, switches and routers – Cisco, or HPE/Aruba core switch implementations with multiple VLANs and routing, wireless implementation with Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus or Huawei

   • Other products - Bluecoat Proxy, RSA server, MS Radius Server, Aruba Clearpass, Aruba Airwave, Nessus, Solarwinds, PRTG

   • Firewalls - Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate, Juniper, Palo Alto with IPSEC/site to site VPN, UTM features such as antispam/antivirus, IPS/IDS, content filtering

   • Basic Windows Server implementation with AD, DHCP and DNS

   • MS Azure network configuration

2. Perform 24x7 software maintenance support standby on rotation basis

Working from home is not a norm but can be arranged if circumstances allow.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Possess a degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT professional certifications from Microsoft, HPE/Aruba, Cisco, VMware, etc

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing and supporting UIC's main product focus
