As part of our continued growth, NACOS Marine Singapore is seeking a talented Senior System Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Singapore on a permanent basis. You will help us shape the future of maritime technologies, complementing our strong global workforce of 700 employees across more than 10 countries. Your Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer marine automation systems, including preparing documentation such as functional descriptions and test protocols
  • Conduct system, subsystem, and functionality testing during the engineering phase
  • Carry out on-site commissioning and service of automation systems, including overseas assignments
  • Provide technical solutions and support for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation
  • Participate in internal project status meetings and milestone reviews
  • Ensure adherence to quality and security procedures
  • Facilitate and conduct in-house Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Facilitate or participate in supplier equipment FAT
  • Offer advice on design modifications when problems are detected
  • Take part in onboard acceptance tests and sea trials (also overseas)
  • Assist team members in resolving quality or design issues
  • Provide support to management and external/internal stakeholders

Your Profile

  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant discipline (e.g., electrical, electronic, or software engineering), ideally with a focus on OT systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine or OT industry
  • Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages
  • Solid networking knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • General cybersecurity awareness
  • Knowledge of OT interface communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP/IP, CANBUS, IEC61162-1, -2, -450)
  • Understanding of platform equipment functionality (valves, pumps, switchgear, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel overseas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
