Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd is seeking a System Architect for Smart Security & Automation to define and govern the overall architecture across hardware, software, network and integration layers in a North region context.

The role requires deep experience with distributed and cloud-based designs, rigorous adherence to architectural standards and security-by-design principles, and guidance to project teams and vendors throughout the lifecycle of projects.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in system/enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing distributed, cloud-based or hybrid systems.
• Knowledge of architecture standards (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, MID-STD-498, ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010) and modeling (UML, 4+1 Views).

Responsibilities

• Define overall system architecture across hardware, software, network and integration components.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient designs.
• Develop architecture diagrams, design specs and technical standards.
• Lead design reviews ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, and products (OS, virtualization, databases, middleware).
• Ensure designs comply with cybersecurity, data protection and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, vendors and stakeholders.
• Support system integration, testing, commissioning and handover; identify risks and mitigation.
• Support lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching and performance optimization.
