Job summary

Luxoft is recruiting for a senior software developer to join our client, a leading bank in Asia, in Singapore. You will analyze, develop, and support critical banking applications across the full software lifecycle.

You will work on integration-heavy projects using VB/.NET and Java, with strong SQL skills and Linux scripting. Expect collaboration with senior engineers to design secure, compliant solutions for production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experienced developer with strong system integration/interfacing experience.
• Experience in application development using VB/.NET and Java.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and database technologies.
• Experience working with Red Hat Linux and Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, test applications.
• Perform requirement analysis, mapping design, technical specification, programming, code review, job scheduling, unit testing and SIT, support UAT, deployment to production.
• Work on specific projects and support the Application Delivery.
• Collaborate with managers and senior developers in technical matters, end-to-end within the project.
• Code, script, build new systems and interfaces as required; provide environment support during SIT/UAT.
• Ensure documentation is updated and transferred to production teams post-cutover.
• Formulate technical solutions that meet security, regulatory and architectural standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, test applications
• The primary work comprises of requirement analysis, mapping design, technical specification, programming, code review, job scheduling, perform unit test and SIT, support UAT, deploy to production, post implementation support, and technical documentation.
• Will be assigned to work on specific projects and is expected to support the Application Delivery.
• You will typically be assigned to work on specific projects and is expected to support the Application Delivery.
• Manager (ADM) in all relevant technical matters, end-to-end, within the project.
• Depending on the project, your duties may include coding, scripting, building new systems (where necessary) and interfaces. For new system build-up, you may need to environment support during SIT/UAT.
• You are expected to ensure your work are adequately documented and transferred to the production team post-cutover.
• You will be expected to work with the senior developers and system architect in formulating technical solutions that is fit for purpose for your assigned projects. The solution will need to satisfy all security, regulatory and architectural standards.

SKILLS

Must have

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 6 years’ relevant experience.
• Must be the experienced developer, with good experience in system integration/interfacing.
• Strong experience in Application Development using VB/.NET and Java.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SQL and database technologies.
• Experience working with Red Hat Linux and Shell Scripting.

Experience in Finance Institution.
