Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft/TIBCO based systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes.
• Coordinate application development for multiple projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
• Analyze data contained in the corporate database, identify data integrity issues, and implement solutions.
• Assist business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
• Write technical procedures and documentation for applications, including operations and user guides.
• Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.
• Verify database and data integrity.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the IT network team to discuss progress and issues, reporting weekly to the Head of Development and CIO.
• Participate in IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of new IT software development projects.
• Assist in creating system design and functional specifications for new development projects.
• Serve as a liaison between business units to address and resolve IT software issues.
• Ensure adherence to standards and procedures during development to deliver quality solutions to James Hay.
