Senior Sushi / Izakaya Chef (SGD $5,500–$8,500)

Shunsui Group is looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Sushi / Izakaya Chef to join our growing team.
If you're confident in your knife work, can run both sushi and hot kitchen stations, and want to be a key part of a respected izakaya-style operation — we want to hear from you.

Position Details:

Job Title: Senior Sushi / Izakaya Chef
Salary: SGD $5,500 – $8,500 (depending on experience and skill level)
Location: Singapore (multiple outlets available)
Work Schedule: 6 days/week

Your Role:
  • Break down whole fish and prepare high-quality sushi & sashimi (nigiri, rolls, platters)
  • Handle hot kitchen items such as grilled, fried, and simmered dishes (robata, tempura, oden, etc.)
  • Ensure smooth kitchen operations across both sushi and hot food line
  • Guide junior chefs and help with training if needed
  • Maintain hygiene, stock control, and quality standards
What You Must Have:
  • Solid experience in filleting whole fish, sashimi, nigiri, and maki sushi
  • Competence in hot kitchen (Japanese izakaya dishes, grill/fry/simmer stations)
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure during busy service
  • Team leadership and communication skills
