The Job

The Senior Supply Chain Executive’s main task is the establishment, implementation and execution of the Aerospace division’s strategic plan for supply chain and supplier development. This includes implementation of a strategic planning process for purchasing activities (aerospace division specific equipment, materials, parts, services, processes) in line with our mission and objectives. All planning, forecasting and operation activities will focus on ensuring that the approved budget expenditures are prudently managed in the best interest of the company.

What You Can Expect of the Job

  • You’ll regularly monitor and drive the performance of suppliers and service providers (Liebherr-Aerospace internal and external), actively support respective audits and establish/implement corrective actions.

  • You’ll monitor and drive overall performance (e.g. quality, cost and delivery) across the Supply Chain, optimising costs whilst ensuring continuity of supply.

  • You’ll drive the Make or Buy and supplier/source selection process.

  • You’ll mandate the establishment, evaluation and approval of specifications for issuance and award of bids.

  • You’ll actively manage supplier relationships, performance and claims (especially for Strategic and Bottleneck suppliers).

  • You’ll spearhead contracts and price negotiation with suppliers.

  • You’ll identify, evaluate and set the path for future capability/sourcing needs, vendor sourcing and supplier development in compliance with the company’s strategy and policies.

  • You’ll ensure conformance of our supply chain & procurement business as well as supplier activities with company policies, processes and governance.

  • You’ll establish and lead a robust purchase-to-payment process and ensure compliance.

  • You’ll propose, participate in and support relevant continuous improvement initiatives/projects.

  • You’ll monitor spending and compliance with budgets, as well as market conditions and merchandise costs including regular or ad-hoc reporting

  • Any other task as assigned.

What We Expect of You

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain or equivalent/relevant discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience and relevant certification from CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, and CSSBB.

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable professional experience as purchaser or similar position in an Aerospace MRO environment.

  • Good negotiation, analysis and decision-making skills.

  • Strong IT and data analytics skill.

  • Able to work with minimum supervision and in varying teams across domains and departments.

  • Good comprehension and analytical skills to provide solutions and insights to various stakeholder’s strategic decisions.

  • Willing/able to travel at short notice and work outside office hours if necessary.

  • Proficiency in MS Office software.

  • A good communicator who possesses a pleasant and energetic personality.
