Job summary

A leading supply chain management firm in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to oversee procurement, manage logistics, and lead a supply chain team. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in supply chain or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain, preferably in the semiconductor industry. Responsibilities

  • Oversee purchase requests, vendor negotiations, and order execution.
  • Track and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Supervise and mentor supply chain team members.
  • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Engineering.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Procurement & Sourcing
    • Oversee purchase requests, vendor negotiations, and order execution.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and support vendor evaluation and onboarding.
    • Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and internal policies.
  • Inventory & Materials Management
    • Track and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet engineering and production requirements.
    • Implement effective stock control measures to prevent shortages and overstocking.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align material planning with demand forecasts.
  • Logistics & Distribution
    • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including shipment scheduling and freight efficiency.
    • Ensure prompt delivery to customers and production facilities.
    • Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to ensure compliance with customs and trade laws.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Supervise and mentor supply chain team members to drive operational excellence.
    • Assign responsibilities, monitor outcomes, and provide necessary training and guidance.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Performance Analysis
    • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF, inventory turnover, procurement savings, and logistics costs.
    • Prepare and communicate comprehensive supply chain performance reports to management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Engineering to address operational requirements.
    • Serve as the escalation point for supply chain challenges and ensure timely issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Diploma in supply chain (procurement, logistics & planning) or any related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in supply chain, logistics, or procurement.
  • Experience working in Semiconductor industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
