Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Work Place: Singapore
Duration: 9 to 12 months
Responsibilities
- Authorized by the Engineering Manager, to execute the Senior Structural discipline function within the Project within defined scope of work and as limited by the Authorization Matrix included in the Project Manual
- Ensure that the relevant Contract scope of work, Functional Requirements and technical requirements are understood and implemented by the Contractor.
- Ensure proactive and constructive follow up of relevant parts of EPC Contractor Appendix A and E and relevant CTRs within the structural discipline. Contribute to good performance for the EPC Contractor Structural Discipline
- Ensure follow up of Det norske and NORSOK specifications
- Ensure development of cost effective technical solutions in accordance with the specified quality.
- Prepare input and update technical documents forming the framework for engineering to be performed by contractors such as DTOR Documents, Functional Requirements, General Technical Specifications, etc.
- Initiate and / or participate in engineering assessments, reviews and QA/QC activities required to ensure technical solutions meets good engineering practices and are in accordance with Contract technical requirements
- Ensure regular Contractors discipline meetings are recorded.
- Ensure specific attention to NCS regulation compliance
- Ensure attention to Company HSE requirements
- Participate in project risk analysis sessions
- Ensure that all necessary engineering documentation is reviewed and commented regarding technical integrity and compliance with project requirements.
- Initiate technical audits and design reviews as found required.
- Review design changes and monitor satisfactory implementation.
- Participate in process with TQ’s, NCR’s and Deviations.
- Ensure knowledge to and perform work in accordance with established procedures necessary for performing the work.
- Make priorities with respect to utilization of resources within the department. Participate in the resolution of interface.
- Attend Engineering meetings and highlight structural engineering matters as required.
- Prepare input to periodic management reports as requested.
- Support engineering personnel reporting to the Engineering Manager.
- Monitor EPC Contractor discipline progress in accordance with agreed milestone plan and contractor plans.
- Ensure review and implementation of relevant issues from experience transfer (lessons learned) activities.
Requirements
Education:
- Master degree structural engineering and design and more than 15 years of relevant experience from working in oil and gas industry including minimum 10 years in oil company’s organizations.
Personal characteristics:
- Good cooperation skills
- Planning and execution of multi discipline tasks
- Dynamic adaption to the workload and able to prioritize work.
Additional requirements:
- Training and project knowledge requirements
- Experience and knowledge of NORSOK, DNV, StaadPro, Aveva PDMS, SACs and etc
- International experience
- Fluent in English written and oral
