Job summary

SJ Group in Singapore is seeking a senior Civil & Structural Engineering lead to manage and supervise building projects from concept to construction. The role requires delivering robust structural analysis and design, and overseeing drafting teams for tenders and as-built drawings.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in Civil & Structural design, strong knowledge of Singapore codes, and proven ability to coordinate with clients, consultants and authorities across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil & Structural Engineering design for building projects.
• Proven experience in regulatory submissions, design management and project controls.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software for building structures.
• Experience in precast design and detailing will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Singapore codes, standards and statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Good team player with the ability to lead and work effectively in multidisciplinary design and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, design and supervise Structural & Civil Engineering works for building projects.
• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for building structures and civil engineering works.
• Manage and supervise the drafting team in the production of tender, construction and as-built drawings.
• Ensure all engineering works, designs and detailing are structurally safe, practical, economical, buildable, and comply with relevant statutory regulations, client requirements, standards and codes of practice.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure timely regulatory approvals, permits and project deliverables.
• Manage project design, regulatory submissions, project controls, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
