We're seeking a driven, passionate, and experienced Brand Strategist to lead research and brand strategy on various projects in our studio. Responsibilities include assessing strategy briefs, shaping research methodologies, identifying insights, and creating compelling presentations and briefs.

The Opportunity

At Thought Over Design, we focus on foundational brand strategy to help build brands with purpose. You will work with emerging and established brands across the country, shaping brand purpose, positioning, and strategy by understanding founder instincts and consumer culture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess client briefs and develop strategy proposals.
  2. Define project briefs and problem statements for strategy and research interventions.
  3. Develop customized brand strategy and research methodologies tailored to different consumer audiences and categories.
  4. Design and conduct qualitative research, analyze findings, and present insights.
  5. Lead interactive brand workshops for goals like positioning, purpose, archetype, and architecture.
  6. Create and deliver compelling presentations, responding effectively to questions.
  7. Track project progress, timelines, and milestones.
  8. Partner with creative teams and external collaborators to ensure strategy integration and alignment.
  9. Take ownership of projects, provide mentorship, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in leading research and brand strategy, handling various categories.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in consulting or running a strategy business is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit is highly valued.
