Job summary

OKX is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Payments team, based in Hong Kong. You will design and build high-scale APIs, expand payment channels globally, and ensure asset safety with strong operational controls. You will mentor engineers, set technical standards, and collaborate with product and partner teams across regions.

The role offers exposure to a complex, regulated payments domain with opportunities to impact roadmap and learn in a fast-moving crypto environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software development.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and design patterns.
• Ownership instinct and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving and autonomous working style.
• Genuine interest in crypto or fintech.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-scale APIs and distributed payment services.
• Expand global reach by scaling payment channels across markets.
• Protect assets with correctness, idempotency, reconciliation, and recovery.
