A leading healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their operating theatre team. The role involves performing various nursing procedures, coordinating surgical equipment, and providing comprehensive patient care. Candidates should possess a Diploma in Nursing and have strong communication skills. The position requires flexibility to work on-call during weekends and public holidays, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.
Job Description
•Perform a variety of nursing, ophthalmic procedures and safety compliances in accordance to established guidelines, policies and procedures
•Coordinate and prepare surgical equipment, instrument and consumables specific to the daily surgical list and preferences of surgeon
•Participate in the assisting of safe anaesthetic care for general, regional and deep sedation anaesthesia
•Perform scrubbing, circulating and recovery duties
•Provide pre & post-operative care for patients
•Carry out proper housekeeping in accordance to Infection Control Standards
•Updates work processes accurately in the digital operating theatre system / Sunrise Clinical Manager
•Conduct inventory checks on medication supplies, general and subspecialties consumables in the assigned work area in accordance to established guidelines.
•Timely escalation and submission of documented Incident Reporting Form to Nurse Clinician / Senior Nurse Manager
Requirements:
•Possess a Diploma in Nursing
•Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
•At least 2 years of experience in healthcare operating theatre settings is preferred
•Able to thrive in fast-paced environment
•Proactive and supportive in carrying out new initiatives
•Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
•5.25 work week (alternate Saturday)
•Office hours (7am - 4pm/8am - 5pm)
•Able to be on-call duty on weekdays,weekends and public holidays.
•Able to work overtime during high patient volumes
