The Opportunity:

We are looking for Senior / Staff Nurse (Emergency) (Full / Part-time) to join us to provide high quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent shall be responsible to:

  1. Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on assessment of physical, psychological and social needs.
  2. Perform focused patient assessment of chief complaint, medical history and medications to ascertain history and medical condition in a timely manner and according to established triage guidelines.
  3. Provide safe, patient education care whilst observing patient comfort.
  4. Monitor patient assessments at regular/ frequent intervals and document care and assessments accordingly.
  5. Assist clinicians during physical examinations, diagnostic testing and treatments of patients.
  6. Initiate corrective action timely when patient’s condition or information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
  7. Assist with CPR and other emergency treatment and stabilise patients’ condition in collaboration with the physician.
  8. Keep patient and the next of kin (NOK) informed of care/treatment at appropriate stages of stay in the ED.
  9. Liaise with other units as appropriate if patient is for admission and require further treatment etc.
  10. Accompany critically ill or emergency patients to other hospitals.
Job Requirements:
  1. Candidate must be registered with SNB
  2. Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate.
  3. At least 1 year of inpatient ward experience as Staff Nurse.
  4. Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent is preferred for candidate applying for Senior Staff Nurse position.
