Overview

The National Neuroscience Institute (NNI), Singapore is the national specialist centre and regional centre for clinical referrals for the management and treatment of the neurosciences, as well as for education and research conducted in the field. NNI offers over 20 subspecialties in neuroscience care and treats a broad range of illnesses affecting the brain, spine, nerves and muscles. Offering a comprehensive range of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology services using the latest technology and experience of our healthcare professionals, NNI is at the forefront of neuroscience care in Singapore and across the region.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating the overall clinical practice setting and standard of care for patients requiring community care and supportive/palliative care in NNI. You will work closely with all grades of nursing staff, physicians, inter-disciplinary team and community partners to provide optimal support to our patients. You will act as a clinical resource person to nursing staff in the management of patients and manage a practice caseload in Neuroscience. You will adopt evidence-based clinical practice, deliver teaching programmes to nursing staff and community partners, provide resources and comprehensive patient education programmes to patients, families & public.

Qualifications
  • Recognised General Nursing qualification and registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
  • Degree in Nursing or Advanced Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent in the area of Neuroscience specialty is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical working experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Experience in community nursing and/or palliative care is preferred
  • Possesses good communication skills and a good team player
  • Able to work at various NNI campuses
