Job summary

Metta Welfare Association's Metta Home in Woodlands, Singapore, is seeking a registered nurse with leadership experience to oversee long-term residential and day care services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

You will coordinate care with doctors, supervise staff, ensure documentation and onboarding, and participate in emergency drills and policy improvements. The role offers a meaningful path to impact lives through compassionate, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Strong clinical, communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Experience in care coordination and clinical documentation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee safe, person-centred nursing care, including assessments and care planning.
• Coordinate care with doctors, therapists, hospitals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct regular clinical walkabouts to monitor standards, hygiene, infection control.
• Identify care gaps and implement corrective actions; support governance.
• Supervise and coach nursing staff, onboarding and in-service training.
• Support rostering, staffing deployment and staff meetings.
• Lead healthcare projects including vaccinations and health screenings.
• Maintain nursing documentation and incident reports.
• Support infection control activities and review SOPs.
• Act as Officer-in-Charge and assist Manager as required.
• Participate in emergency drills and other duties assigned by management.
