Job summary

ams OSRAM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to integrate and optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes supporting sensor module packaging and optical engineering initiatives. You will monitor performance, identify yield trends, and implement corrective actions to ensure product specifications are met.

The role requires 5–8 years in relevant environments and 3–5 years in related packaging or manufacturing domains, with mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in R&D, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• 3–5 years in R&D, packaging technologies or manufacturing.
• Experience in sensor module packaging and/or optical engineering is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating and optimizing end-to-end manufacturing process to meet product specifications and performance targets.
• Monitor process performance, yield trends and key quality indicators; analyze yield loss mechanisms and reliability risks.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and product-related issues.
• Work with process and product development engineers to create process flow and initial equipment list required in projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product or process-related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation like FMEA, machine and process buy-off documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Your new responsibilities

Who we are looking for

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Microelectronics, Materials, Optics or Chemical Engineering
• Min 5 - 8 years in R&D, Engineering, manufacturing environment
• Min 3 - 5 years in either R&D, packaging technologies, manufacturing
• Experience in sensor module packaging and/or optical engineering will be an advantage
