Job summary

Coinhako, a market-leading digital assets platform in Singapore, is seeking a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver high-performance systems, with a SME mindset guiding both senior and junior engineers in a fast-paced crypto trading domain.

You will contribute to architecture discussions, optimize runtimes, and ensure robust, secure service delivery across REST and WebSocket interfaces in a cloud-first

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional work experience as a Software Engineer in designing and building distributed systems.
• Strong background and expertise in Ruby or Go, demonstrating mastery of language features and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with REST APIs and WebSocket.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with proficiency in Docker and Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience in building systems using both SQL and NoSQL databases, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of database design and optimization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrate an collaborative attitude with a bias toward action.
• Experience working in Cryptocurrency/Blockchain/Fintech/Finance Trading domain is a plus.

We are looking for a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer to join our Engineering Team to support our Trading Experience Team!

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build and maintain our backend services
• Ensure the quality and performance of applications to specifications
