Senior Speech Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and leadership development in a dynamic hospital environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients with complex swallowing and communication disorders
  • Conduct specialized procedures including videofluoroscopy studies, FEES, and management of ICU/tracheostomy patients
  • Develop and implement patient-centred treatment plans with measurable outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, students, and therapy assistants
  • Participate in research activities and quality improvement initiatives
  • Deliver educational programmes for healthcare professionals and the public
  • Contribute to department development and service enhancement

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Has experience in at least 1 of the following
    • 1 specialized procedures/assessments
    • supervising students/ STs
    • project management
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
