Job summary
KK Women's & Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to assess and treat patients with voice and swallowing disorders. Qualifications
- Trained and experienced in working with adult patients with voice and swallowing disorders.
- Preferably bilingual or multilingual.
- Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and implement treatments based on scientific evidence.
- Monitor progress and maintain confidentiality of records.
- Supervise support staff and contribute to clinical education.

Bachelor / Master Degree in Speech Pathology
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess patients in a logical and sequential manner, generating and testing a hypothesis reasoning.
- Analyse patients' problems directly related to the conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.
- Plan and implement treatment, reflecting current available scientific evidence, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of intervention.
- Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, prepare and maintain records and reports as appropriate, ensuring adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- Participate as an active member of the care team via attending relevant ward / unit rounds, clinics, meetings and in research and work improvement activities.
- Contribute to achievement of departmental action plan, collaborating with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
- Contribute to learning and growth through active participation in departmental clinical education and clinical training initiatives.
- Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff / students / junior staff / peers as required.
- Oversee Therapy Assistants on performance of duties to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor / Master Degree in Speech Pathology or its equivalent.
- Trained and experienced in working with adult patients with voice and swallowing disorders
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good team player and able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Preferably with ability to speak more than 1 language or dialect.
- Must be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccinations.
