The Position
The overarching goal of compliance operations is to enable a culture of ethics and compliance across the enterprise by supporting compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements, remaining abreast of emerging trends, and evolving our compliance operations.
The Sr. Specialist, Global Compliance Operations will report to the Director, Compliance Operations, and be a key member of the Global Compliance Operations team. This professional will provide compliance operations support and guidance to various stakeholders and business teams to facilitate compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures. They will also support cross-functional projects such as the Pulse tool and Compliance Monitoring Program.
Responsibilities:
- Support Pulse program
- Enhance data analytics skills; navigate through big data; connect the dots from different data sets; build data visualizations for easy identification of patterns, trends, outliers; interpret results; drive meaningful conclusions; and provide valuable recommendations to business leaders across functions to protect the company and enhance compliance monitoring (e.g., Power BI).
- Apply strong healthcare compliance knowledge to understand risks, analyze patterns, and recommend improvements and timely remediation.
- Partner with the BT organization and business leaders across local markets and process owners.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Master’s or comparable degree in law, risk management, or corporate compliance is preferred.
- Compliance certifications (e.g., Licensed Professional in Ethics) are a plus.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in LS Pharma in a compliance function.
- Understanding of the commercial pharma data landscape.
- Highly skilled in coding and data science tools such as R, Python, SQL, Power BI.
- Experience working with due diligence systems (e.g., Aravo, Power Apps).
- Ability to review legal, regulatory, and compliance documentation.
- Strong knowledge of global compliance laws and regulations, including FCPA, US Anti-Kickback Statute, and US transparency reporting requirements.
- Ability to work within a global team and understand local regulatory standards.
- Experience collaborating with audit, compliance, investigations, legal, and business teams.
- Comfortable communicating and presenting to global and C-suite executives.
