Job description

As a Principal Solutions Consultant, you are an acknowledged expert in your field, able to inject thought leadership and credibility into prospect engagements and contribute to advancing the knowledge and sales content of the global Solutions Consulting team. You will help to generate pipeline, by positioning yourself as a thought leader at events, on social media and supporting/enabling the internal pipeline generation team. You will also be a trusted advisor to Product on what our markets demands from our products.

A Day in the Life of the SSM - About the role:

  • Lead in-depth conversations with prospects given your subject matter expertise (20%)
  • Enablement and coaching of more junior Solutions Consultants (20%)
  • Collaborate with product (20%)
  • Opportunity qualification (20%)
  • Support estimation of services effort and production of work orders (10%)
  • Contribute as a thought leader and promote PROS at conferences and events (10%)

Required Qualifications - About you:

  • Ability to explore and understand the needs of a prospect
  • Ability to capture a prospect's needs in the form of user stories
  • Ability to develop and convey a business case for using our software
  • Ability to demonstrate user stories in our software through the lens of a user
  • Ability to lead a pre-sales engagement with a prospect
  • Experience in value-based solution selling
  • Experience in contributing to sales strategy and navigating complex sales
  • Ability to coach and mentor go to market team members
  • An expert in typical business processes and challenges faced in the industry
  • 5-10 years of experience in deploying Smart Price Management & Optimization solutions on the field
  • Willing to travel approximately 50% of the time to prospects and customers

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • A recognized thought leader in their space
  • A creative contributor to go to market channels
  • Ability to funnel needs of the market to Product team
  • Ability to present at events and conferences
