Senior Solutions Engineer - Wise Platform

Over the past decade, Wise has built a global payments infrastructure that has revolutionised how money moves around the world. Now, with Wise Platform, other companies can gain access to our industry-leading, reliable service seamlessly.

We’ve already partnered with 85+ banks, FinTechs and other enterprises, opening up the benefits of Wise’s payments infrastructure to millions of their end customers around the world. Now, we’re looking to take Wise Platform’s scale to the next level, and we are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team in Singapore covering the APAC region to support both new and existing Wisers to achieve their potential in a fast-growing team and organisation. You will work across our partners, your own team, Wise Platform, and the wider organisation to maximise your team’s impact.

Solutions Engineering at Wise is a post-sales role, focused on working with our integrating partners to enable them to successfully launch a product based on Wise’s products. The role is multifaceted but has two main responsibilities — technical delivery of partners and solutioning of complex new integrations. This includes providing technical consulting, designing technical architecture, and proposing novel features and how we will build them — solving for our partner’s constraints and working internally to influence the product roadmap.

As part of this role, you will

  • Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and partners integrating Wise, primarily post-sale
  • Support business development by aiding larger partners requiring novel features
  • Assist partners in the implementation phase, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements
  • Participate in feature definition, prioritisation, and long-term strategy planning with the Wise Platform team
  • Ensure partners deliver the best integration within their constraints for an excellent customer experience
  • Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers, making product and project decisions
  • Work on scaling Wise Platform into new regions, overcoming associated challenges
  • Improve integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations
  • Collaborate with the technical presales team to support the sales cycle and secure new partnerships
  • Enhance internal processes to handle multiple integrations in parallel
  • Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API when needed
  • Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues, supporting the API team with complex problems

Qualifications include:

  • 6+ years in customer-facing engineering or development roles, ideally within financial services or similar domains (e.g., solutions engineer, IT consultant, partner engineer, integration engineer, solutions consultant).
  • Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures and technologies such as RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
  • Experience managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver multiple concurrent technical projects, with a strong background in solutions engineering.
  • Experience with financial systems integrations and familiarity with international finance, foreign exchange, and payment systems.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical experts, balancing customer-centric thinking with technical know-how.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to represent Wise professionally, explaining technical problems and solutions to non-technical audiences.
