Job summary

Sembcorp is seeking a Solar Operations & M Technician/Senior Technician in Singapore to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and performance of solar PV systems. You will supervise contractors, ensure safety and quality, and provide technical leadership through training and hands-on troubleshooting.

The role involves testing, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of modules, inverters, and balance-of-system components, with support on weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in solar PV O&M, electrical maintenance, or related fields.
• Hands-on knowledge of solar PV systems: modules, inverters, racking, protection, monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
• Provide weekend and OT support for critical issues or projects.
• Supervise contractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specs.
• Conduct site audits for safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
• Mentor contractors in troubleshooting and best practices.
