Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer in Singapore to validate new features and automate extensive test scenarios for web-based products. You will work with developers to resolve bugs, improve usability, and drive scalable test coverage.

The role requires 5+ years in Software QA with automated testing, solid knowledge of SDLC, and familiarity with Selenium WebDriver, Python, SQL, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science.
• 5+ years of Software QA experience with automated test development.
• Experience writing automated test scripts and maintaining regression suites.
• Experience with Eggplant tools is a plus.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA processes, and web testing.

Responsibilities

• Create test scenarios from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and sign off on regression suites for releases.
• Develop advanced testing techniques to improve quality and productivity.

We are looking for an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer who is eager to support delivering exciting features to a significant offering. You will play an integral role in testing the functionality of our products, focusing on the validation of new features, writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools (including our own testing tool) and working with developers in the engineering team to resolve bugs and improve usability.

Responsibilities

• Creating test scenarios from user stories and acceptance criteria
• Manage a regression suite for our products, including the release/signoff process
• Develop and drive advanced testing techniques for the project with the goal of improved quality and productivity
• Review and improve an automated test strategy for this multi-user web-based application
• Writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools (including our own testing tool)
• Ensure products and components function well to provide an exceptional user experience. Requires good understanding of process management and the ability to adapt to new platforms quickly
• Debugging the failed tests and identify the root cause reporting to the team.
• Provide input to the design and development process to improve testability, quality and user experience
• Identify and raise issue reports for bugs discovered through manual, automated or regression testing

Qualifications

You should be self-motivated and have a proven track record of testing complex software, systems and platforms with a strong understanding of software engineering principles.

Specific Requirements Include

• Bachelor/Masters in Computer Engineering/Computer Science
• More than 5 years of experience in a Software QA with writing test automation scripts
• Experience in writing automated test scripts.
• Added advantage for candidate with experience in using Eggplant Server and Eggplant Functional software.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, QA process and concepts.
• Working knowledge of testing web-based systems.
• Solid knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP development practices and good programming knowledge.
• Experience working with CI / CD and familiar with Git.
• Familiar with databases and have ability to write SQL

Bonus Skills

• Comfortable working from the command line on Linux and Windows
• Experience working with a GUI based test tool
• Working knowledge of Functional Test
• Familiarity with model-based testing
• Solid knowledge and experience in Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform (or Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
• Any familiarity with Python particularly Pytest
