Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers in Singapore to help build scalable Wallet features and robust APIs for nationwide digital credentials. You will partner with Android platform teams, device manufacturers, and external partners to deliver secure, high‑quality integrations across devices and services.

You will contribute to full‑stack development, work on complex distributed systems, and help shape the future of Google Wallet across mobile platforms and hardware interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, C++, Java).
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with android device manufacturers (OEMs) to enable Wallet features on various device types, including wearables and devices with real‑time operating systems (RTOS). Develop software that interfaces with device hardware like Near‑Field Communication (NFC) controllers, secure elements, and biometric sensors.
• Develop and scale secure digital credentials for transit, access control (e.g., campus, corporate, and residential), and automotive keys within Google Wallet.
• Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and capabilities that enhance Wallet functionality and security.
• Work with Product Managers, User Experience (UX) Designers, Technical Program Managers, Business Development, Legal, and other Engineering teams within Wallet and across Google. Engage with external partners to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch new integrations.
