Job summary

Singtel is hiring a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions. You will build microservices and APIs using Java/Python, develop automated tests, and collaborate with QA and operations teams to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, code reviews, and adopting modern technologies. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in software development with agile/DevOps, 2+ years in Docker/Kubernetes, and strong database and open-source experience.

Qualifications

Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a relevant discipline.
3–5 years of software development experience using agile or DevOps.
3+ years of microservices development with Java, Python, Apache Camel, Spring Boot.
2+ years with Docker and Kubernetes.
2+ years Linux and open-source development.
2+ projects with DevOps and automated testing.
Experience with MariaDB or PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Experience in EFK stack, Prometheus/Grafana and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade, scalable software solutions.
Design and develop microservices and APIs using various technologies (e.g. Java).
Develop and automate testing for the software, including unit and integration tests.
Collaborate with QA and internal teams to validate and resolve defects or enhancements.
Work with operations to conduct root cause analysis of issues.
Adopt best practices for coding, testing, version control, CI/CD and documentation.
Gather functional requirements and prepare technical specs, project plans, and tests.
Review designs and code outputs from developers and QA teams.
Continuously evaluate industry trends and adopt new technologies where relevant.
