Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore invites skilled software engineers to join the Next Generation Programme Office Strategy branch. You will design, implement, and maintain mission-critical systems for Next Generation Air Navigation, focusing on Aeronautical Information services.

Qualifications

• Trained in Software Engineering, Computer Science or IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience in enterprise, mission-critical environments.
• Strong passion for learning new technologies and keeping up with industry trends.
• Experience with cloud-native patterns including microservices and streaming patterns (lambda, kappa).
• Knowledge of APIs for web services using REST; familiarity with API Gateways optional.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts in cloud tech, architecture and deployments.
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerized deployments.
• Good knowledge of Cloud-native architectures; Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform; AWS or Azure familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, implement and maintain software for safety-critical applications.
• Work with languages and tools (C++, Python, Java, Rust, Go, etc.) on projects.
• Apply safety and security best practices in coding, testing and development.
• Lead and mentor software teams; coordinate deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases; participate in code reviews.
• Perform installation, check-out, integration and testing in production environments.
• Troubleshoot performance, safety and reliability issues in development and production.
• Maintain thorough documentation for code, processes and test results.
