Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking Senior/Staff Software Engineers to lead cross-functional squads and drive architecture across high-availability systems. You will mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and manage technical debt while delivering scalable, secure software.

The role emphasizes adopting modern front-end/back-end tech (Next.js/React/Nuxt/Vue and Java/TypeScript/Node.js/Golang), cloud platforms, CI/CD, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and observability tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years (Senior) or 7–12 years (Staff) of software engineering in large, high-availability systems.
• Proven track record in leading and delivering technically complex products.
• Strong experience with modern full-stack web technologies and backend languages.
• Cloud experience on AWS/Azure/GCP and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional agile squads with Engineers, PMs, and Designers.
• Architect and design secure, scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Mentor and uplift product engineering competencies across teams.
• Establish coding standards and development processes.
• Manage technical debt and risk while delivering features.
• Drive adoption of up-to-date technologies and AI tooling.
• Lead Scrum ceremonies and unblock blockers.
